Semi-submersibles
In 2004, together with SBM Atlantia, we developed the DeepDraft® Semi-submersible. The deep draft contributes to a superior motional behavior, enabling the use of Steel Catenary Risers (SCRs). The EPC contract for the first unit was signed by SBM Atlantia with Enterprise LLP (AVP: Atwater Valley Producers). The Independence Hub was commissioned in 2007 in the record water depth of 8,000 ft.
The second DeepDraft® Semi-submersible has been delivered to Murphy Oil. The unit, named Thunder Hawk, started operations in 2009.
In the Renewable Energy, we have developed the Trifloater, as a candidate for deepwater wind farms.
