Third hit for Noble!

Noble Corporation (NYSE: NE) today announced that a subsidiary has exercised its first option with Hyundai Heavy Industries Co. Ltd. ("HHI") for the construction of an additional ultra-deepwater drillship, the third such drillship to be ordered this year .......

Following the Gusto Pelican drillship series in the seventies, being the first dynamically positioned drilling units in the world, the GustoMSC P10,000 drillship proves to be a worthy successor with eight units ordered in the last years.

Hyundai already completed one GustoMSC drillship last year and has currently seven units under construction, with options for two more vessels. Delivery of the third Noble ship will be second quarter 2014.
